<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0eo36z2-JG8/WZo3KK58epI/AAAAAAAACR0/WrLtyzbv5YAtQYqZbT1mngA_r72flMU0ACEwYBhgL/s1600/sfk%2BIMG_6762%2B%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0eo36z2-JG8/WZo3KK58epI/AAAAAAAACR0/WrLtyzbv5YAtQYqZbT1mngA_r72flMU0ACEwYBhgL/s640/sfk%2BIMG_6762%2B%25282%2529.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Using a pair of ladies knee socks from the Dollar Tree I made these tights in about 30 min. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The technique you use I think depends on the sock design for mine I used both socks. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">To determine how long they needed to be I </span><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> held the sock up to the doll and held the sock in place as I wanted the knitted band for my bottom hem, and measured up the doll to allow for a the waist band... I allowed 1/2 to fold over and then cut for lengh My cut was about 3 inches from the heel of the sock</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Then I measure for the front seam from the dolls waist to her crotch ... on mine this was 3.5 inches.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I sewed a seam from the waist to the 3.5 inch mark - done for both pieces front and back</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I folded my waist band over .5 inch and stitched it </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Then join front to back </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">matching crotch and legs/front to back stitch along entire inside leg seam </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">No hem needed as I used the pink knit band on the sock as my hem ...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_MtftV9i7go/WBJP7p_C7OI/AAAAAAAACHU/GAZiMJdo5FApVR62jgM-fC-b3zua45jZQCEw/s1600/13567079_10154269877288209_2490368032794466777_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_MtftV9i7go/WBJP7p_C7OI/AAAAAAAACHU/GAZiMJdo5FApVR62jgM-fC-b3zua45jZQCEw/s400/13567079_10154269877288209_2490368032794466777_n.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">For many years I have packed shoe boxes for this project; I love<a href="https://www.samaritanspurse.org/"> this organization</a> for many reasons. Charity is a personal thing and I encourage everyone I know to give in some way. I don't particularly care which charity they support as long as it's legit. I was taught that to whom much is given, much is expected. I am not wealthy, but consider myself comfortable, and blessed to live in the USA. I consider the opportunity to reach others not as fortunate a privilege. The Salvation Army Angel Tree is also a favorite for Christmas giving. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This year I am filling boxes for Boys 10-14 and Girls 2-4. I set out to educate myself on boy items and learned they all love receiving a Soccer ball, particularly in this age group. A SOCCER BALL ... tell me please how do you get a soccer ball in a shoe box !! Thank heaven for Facebook, and bloggers where I found a ton of useful information, and decided to order deflated soccer balls. Locating deflated soccer balls was another day of research! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b>So here's what I came up with :</b></span></div>

<a href="http://joannswansondiyminiatures.blogspot.com/">http://joannswansondiyminiatures.blogspot.com/</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have been making minis for a couple years and have </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
found much inspiration from Joann Swanson's blog. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I saw the tutorial above and was inspired to use some of her </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
tutorials to make a gift for someone who loves Halloween. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oaeI2iySw1w/V9izIoJ_PYI/AAAAAAAACCo/zDmdq0kmLbgYQRy7OvcbUtMOj2gHwlKwgCEw/s1600/IMG_5538.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oaeI2iySw1w/V9izIoJ_PYI/AAAAAAAACCo/zDmdq0kmLbgYQRy7OvcbUtMOj2gHwlKwgCEw/s320/IMG_5538.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I bought a faux book, and intend this a piece to be used </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
both to display the scene as well as to store the minis inside when not in use. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5Gt3KpCNep4/V9jB40NZmsI/AAAAAAAACEQ/kIDLL4OjXbksWXGfPkP71TaDDbTWNS1JACLcB/s1600/FullSizeRender%2B%252810%2529ED.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5Gt3KpCNep4/V9jB40NZmsI/AAAAAAAACEQ/kIDLL4OjXbksWXGfPkP71TaDDbTWNS1JACLcB/s320/FullSizeRender%2B%252810%2529ED.jpg" width="270" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is where I am headed, but make changes every day, </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Mr. Skellie is reading the NY Times, wearing his fluffy slippers, and </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
resting his feet on an ottoman I made with a matchbox; </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the feet of the ottoman are tiny skeletons. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I bought the chair from Alpha Stamps.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
There will be a side table next to Mr. Skellie's chair. I dressed the table, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and on top is a skelton candle holder, a crystal ball, and a "shrunken head".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm loving the "shrunken head" in a tiny jar resting on stacked books. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This was fun to make and my first ... very first ... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
attempt at polymer clay ... why??? It's fun !!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Mr. Skellie will have a snack that will rest on his ottoman. I made the drink, cupcake,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and napkin; the tray is a button. There is much work to be done here!! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
the inside of the "book" has a hutch filled with potions, books, </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
owl bookends, a dish, and an hourglass. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On top is a gargoyle, a candelabra, and a jar</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Above the hutch there is a friend of Mr. Skellie's floating into the </div>

I can't decide what to do with the interior walls and floor ?? ... decisions decisions.</div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Bushytail's have been very busy getting ready for summer. They found a great deal on a new/old camper; today Mr. Bushytail went to pick it up. Mrs. Bushytail took advantage of the sunny day and took baby to the beach with friends. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Mr Bushytail sent a picture of the camper, he says it needs a bit of refurbishing but believes he can have it ready for the July 4th holiday.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">THE really BIG news here at Honeysuckle Hollow is the arrival of my first grand-baby to my daughter, Laura and her husband Graham. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">On March 25th we welcomed our new "mini" Hudson </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">weighing 7lb 7oz, 20 inches. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">All are doing well and baby Hudson is "perfect" !! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">He is the first grandbaby on either side of the family </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The annual Christmas Pageant is just around the corner and Mr. Bushytail and cast are busy with rehearsals and last minute adjustments. Tonight the crew successfully finalized the rigging so the angel bearing "good tidings" could fly. If you can't be with us at Honey Run Baptist we hope you enjoy Christmas Eve services at your place of worship. </span></div>

</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9um5hz0IYSQ/VhmQPn7n2jI/AAAAAAAABsc/qGGDoiBv1BE/s1600/blog%2BA.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9um5hz0IYSQ/VhmQPn7n2jI/AAAAAAAABsc/qGGDoiBv1BE/s400/blog%2BA.jpg" width="357" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Today I made Indian Corn from "seed beads" and thought I'd share. It was a pretty easy little project, and not perfect but turned out pretty good for a first attempt. "No hole" beads would be the ideal but are not as easy to find as plain seed beads. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-329JO0UoGBk/VhmQPERp7YI/AAAAAAAABsk/6DFDzFK3io4/s1600/Blog%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-329JO0UoGBk/VhmQPERp7YI/AAAAAAAABsk/6DFDzFK3io4/s400/Blog%2B1.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The writing on the pic is a hard to read so here are instructions:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1. Cut a tooth pick in half</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">2.Glue raffia at the blunt end, I bind with a little thread to hold it secure. Let it dry.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">3. After glue dries pull the raffia UP exposing the pointed tip, then trim the tooth pick to the length you want your corn to be</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L0tCAYav-_E/VhmQOgj0GEI/AAAAAAAABsg/yGZLIaPIyXE/s1600/blog%2B2%2B.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L0tCAYav-_E/VhmQOgj0GEI/AAAAAAAABsg/yGZLIaPIyXE/s400/blog%2B2%2B.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Let the fun begin ! Add glue to the wooden tip and let it dry a "tad" (beads stick a bit better). Now let it dry ... you may shape the cob as it drys but go slowly or beads will start falling off. Once dry add beads where they did not adhere. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">(There is no doubt a better glue for this ??)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3p6xHiRcf-o/VhmQPVUwRQI/AAAAAAAABso/A-kbtOo4-cY/s1600/blog%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3p6xHiRcf-o/VhmQPVUwRQI/AAAAAAAABso/A-kbtOo4-cY/s400/blog%2B3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">If the beads fall off just add more and let it dry until you have what you want. I also think to diminish the shine a coat of Modge Podge "Satin" might be the trick? I didn't have green beads but wanted a little green so I used the tip of a tooth pick to "paint" in some of the white areas. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CCbtJqBU-Ks/VhmQOIx_5LI/AAAAAAAABsM/CTgLA_Ix1bo/s1600/blog%2B.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="390" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CCbtJqBU-Ks/VhmQOIx_5LI/AAAAAAAABsM/CTgLA_Ix1bo/s640/blog%2B.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">There you have it !! Thanks for stopping by </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">XO E</span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Rolling right along into the summer !! We went from ice storms to thunderstorms and now we are sweat'n to death in the heat and humidity</span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">. I need a pool !!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A couple weeks ago I attended a meeting of the Nashville Area </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Miniature</span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Club. This is a group of folks (guys and gals) who meet monthly to enjoy making and talking about miniatures. They have a club project for the year where we start with a bare box, decorate it and the front door and porch for each holiday. The Bushytails and I have a lot of work to do to catch up ! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Here is a picture of Susan W's (unfinished) box; measures 11 x 6 inches She added a frame to hers, I have no idea how ours (the Bushytails and I) will progress. </span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Mr. Bushytail has been working really hard to install the siding on our new project and to get the front door painted before company arrives for the big July 4th holiday. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: left;">His friend Mr Spotter stopped by to help but they aren't getting much done because Mr. Spotter brought the triplets along. The babies love riding in the wagon and Mr. Bushytail just can't resist those sweet little faces. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The inspiration for the church came from, of course, my love of all things Christmas. I tried cutting it out with my Silhouette, there were lots of detailed cuts in the file and the machine ate the paper so I modified and added my own detail. Most of the pieces on the church were cut using hand held paper punches.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now I am loving these dishes but oh my gosh don't you just love how a photograph highlights all your errors !!! Looks like I need some of those magnifying loopy things they use in the operating room! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm on a mini making spree. Here are a few pieces I've made in the last couple weeks and have a couple more to add. They are really fun to make and I have been amazed at how I have used every craft making skill I've ever learned ! I will post tutorials.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Hu6Ie5T1YJI/VNv1Gz_JRhI/AAAAAAAABeg/RqZ2bgDchjg/s1600/PicMonkey%2BCollage%2B%2Bvday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Hu6Ie5T1YJI/VNv1Gz_JRhI/AAAAAAAABeg/RqZ2bgDchjg/s1600/PicMonkey%2BCollage%2B%2Bvday.jpg" height="320" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The wreath is made with a bump chenille, with handmade ribbon rose. The quiver is paper, trimmed with foil from a doily and is about 1 3/4 " tall. The mini box is paper, trimmed with crepe paper ... and I'm sorry but I did not even attempt to make it open ... haaa my mini making skills aren't there ! The card holder is a paper punched piece trimmed with bakers twine. Thanks for visiting ! XO E</span></div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JHs7qCA61zM/VNa9ENtk72I/AAAAAAAABd0/hMzsjBcr3gY/s1600/10933773_784486334933208_7684299386627763736_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JHs7qCA61zM/VNa9ENtk72I/AAAAAAAABd0/hMzsjBcr3gY/s1600/10933773_784486334933208_7684299386627763736_n.jpg" height="400" width="270" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">My vision is failing me, I desperately need to visit the ophthalmologist. My focus is less than ideal, I have ADD, therefore making miniatures should not be for me ... but I love "playing" with miniatures and have gotten hooked ! I see something and think "oh my that would be so cute in "mini". </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A while back I bought a 1/12 scale table and decided it needed to be decorated for Valentines Day, it's a work in progress and I am sure will be ever changing, but today I made a runner for my table and it was simple. Here is a little tutorial if you want to make one. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Simple supplies: lace, ribbon, and <a href="http://www.createforless.com/Stitch-Witchery-Fusible-Bonding-Web-by-Dritz-Ultra-light-5/8-in.-x-20-yd/pid13914.aspx">stitch witchery</a></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-US29AWp1LsU/VNa7Fuwr7UI/AAAAAAAABdU/uRTgp7mmexk/s1600/photo%2B21%2B(6)%2Bredo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-US29AWp1LsU/VNa7Fuwr7UI/AAAAAAAABdU/uRTgp7mmexk/s1600/photo%2B21%2B(6)%2Bredo.jpg" height="328" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1. I cut two pieces of lace to fit my table, leaving a little to drape over the end.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">2. With my two pieces of lace laid side by side, flat sides together, I topped with a matching length of stitch witchery, topped with a piece of seam binding (not pictured sorry). This will be the back of your runner. Then "bond" it together with an iron. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It's a sandwich: lace, stitch witchery, seam binding (or preferred ribbon).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">3. Now for the top of your runner, flip your lace over and repeat the sandwich - adding your decorative ribbon last (on top) ... <i>caution</i> make sure your ribbon doesn't have an embellishment that will melt when the iron hits it !! To solve my problem I laid a piece of fabric between the iron and ribbon and it worked on the second try ! </span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Here's my runner The table is 5 3/4" long and depth is 2 1/2"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Last week I mailed my minis to <a href="http://cozyblanket.blogspot.com/">Debby</a> for the swap. She is the host for the swap so she divides them up and sends them out. I can't wait to get our packages, there are 19 of us in the swap ... SO excited 19 minis ! Thanks for visiting. <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: left;">tutorial here:</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I've been on a blogging and crafting hiatus for months, lost my mojo some how, I do like to recycle Christmas photos, so I made my cousin a shadow box using the card she sent me with her kids pics ... she boo hoo'd I think that means </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">she liked it :) </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">bad angle but you get the idea</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Last April (April) my daughters "boyfriend" asked for her hand in marriage ... I cried, we hugged, and it was to remain a secret until the ring was in hand ... the boy agonized over ring styles and choices (he did good!) but finally in October he proposed. Between both of their schedules I feared I would die never seeing them marry !! He also wanted the proposal to be unique and special and agonized over the "how to", so finally he asked if I'd help ... if you knew me, you'd be saying "how on earth did <b>you</b> manage to keep your mouth shut for so long???" Whew it was hard but once given the reigns I ran ... so I've spent much of my free time over the last few months making "it" happen. It turned out beautiful. We managed to keep it a surprise. Here's a couple pics. To get the pics a very sweet photographer, with permission of the "boy", crawled around in the dark and got a whole bunch of great pics !! <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have a love hate relationship with pinterest ... how about you ? So it seems they have made a few changes and I gladly ran across this<a href="http://www.skimbacolifestyle.com/"> link</a> but still I have a lingering question for you guys ... I can only see about 50 "pins" on my boards ... where before I could scroll through the entire board uninhibited ... am I missing something here ?? I do see a small (blurry) box to the right that I can scroll through but I really don't like that alternative ... how about you? Also I can still scroll through the entire "front page" of the categories with no problem. Anyone else experiencing this? Any advice out there ladies? I sure hope I'm doing something wrong ! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thx, E</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Update: I went to the Pinterest fb page as suggested by a discussion board, apparently they have been under construction, and they say all is back to normal ... we'll see :) </span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://patdyphotography.com/">source</a></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Its snowing in middle TN, so I am propped up doing what I do every year about this time, stalking everything wedding. I follow as many event planners as I do crafters. I have been following a young woman from the Philippines for a couple years. I've seen her designs all over the internet and was really surprised that she was fairly new on the wedding dress scene. I am absolutely blown away by her work. I'd love to know what one of these suckers cost !! Because she has had so many requests from across the globe for her designs she has created a RTW (ready to wear) line and though not custom per se, they are equally stunning and I can't wait for them to hit the shelves I <em><strong>must</strong></em> find a store and go see them I<em> have</em> to touch one (I'm a tactile shopper) :)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So if you are looking for something to do and want some fun eye candy hope over to her <a href="http://veluzreyes.blogspot.com/">blog</a> and check out these stunning designs. Have a warm and cozy weekend XO E </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: large;">When I saw this cute Valentine card childhood memories
came rushing back. I joined Erica’s
Valentine box swap and <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Elizabeth</st1:place></st1:city>’s
Valentine swap, and knew whatever I came up with would involve the cuties on
this card. <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Elizabeth</st1:place></st1:city> often writes of winter and

season. Chris has a career in the

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">I can’t tell you why but
third grade was my favorite, and the most memorable of my elementary school years.
Our teacher, Mrs. Naville, was the sweetest human being, and oh how refreshing
after second grade and “the mean old witch” Mrs. Laura. Mrs. Laura was a ruler-wielding, knuckle whacker
!! Mrs. Naville never made a threatening
gesture or raised her voice. Her
teaching was multi-dimensional through books, play, and hands on activities; we
were always doing something fun. We made
butter and ate it on saltines…I can still taste it ! We carved (<i>carved…</i> can you imagine?!) bars of ivory soap into polar bears; I
can still smell the ivory soap, and we had a wonderful classroom party for Valentine’s
Day. Mrs. Hartfield was one of the homeroom mothers and, just like it was yesterday,
I can remember her lining us up to take this picture! Her
daughter Paula is standing, second from right … Paula Faye had dimples </span><span style="font-family: Wingdings; mso-ascii-font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-char-type: symbol; mso-hansi-font-family: Arial; mso-symbol-font-family: Wingdings;">J</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"> <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I discovered blogland a few years ago. One of my favorite discoveries was the mother daughter blogging duo of Two Crazy Crafters, and I thank you for the above </span><a href="http://twocrazycrafters.blogspot.com/2010/01/happy-new-year.html"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">image</span></a><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">. Another discovery was <a href="http://pclouse.blogspot.com/2011/12/second-annual-new-years-eve-craft-along.html">Paula</a> from Paula Palace of Altered Art (miss her smiling face) Last NYE she held an all night "craft along"</span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">. I joined her live chat group and what fun it was, crafty girls partying together until about 3A (my usual bedtime). </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Whether your plans are crazy wild or calm I hope you have a great time. </span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Best wishes to all my blogland friends for a Happy New Year ! Elaine</span></div>
